The Band Perry’s Debut Album Mines Heavy Metal

The Band Perry's self-titled debut album has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (R.I.A.A.), signifying sales of more than 500,000 copies. The album, featuring the trio's recent No. 1 song, 'If I Die Young,' and their first single, 'Hip to My Heart,' arrived in stores last October and continues to hold steady in the Top 10 on the country album charts.

'You Lie,' the trio's latest single, is also included on their debut album and is sitting in the Top 25 on the charts, marking it their fastest-rising single to date.

Next, the Band Perry will take their music to Bowling Green, Ky., on Thursday, February 17. They are set to open shows for Blake Shelton at the end of the month and will join Tim McGraw on his Emotional Traffic tour beginning April 8 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
