Sara Evans Looks Forward to New Holiday Traditions

Sara Evans has been a busy gal this holiday season: she's released a four-song Christmas EP, embarked on a mini-tour with the family along for the ride, written songs for an upcoming album and has written her first novel, 'The Sweet By and By,' due out in January. The singer/songwriter/author/mom says that despite all the activity, she's looking forward to enjoying new holiday rituals that she and husband Jay Barker are making with their blended family of seven.

"Jay and I and the kids have started our own traditions," she tells the Eastvalleytribune.com. "We have Christmas breakfast after we open our gifts. We don't want to repeat anything we did in the past!"

Sara also reveals her New Year's resolutions for the new decade: "Just to grow and nourish our family. And to fall more in love with Jay every day and make the best music possible and get back on country radio!"

Her new album may help her do just that. She reports the music on this new record is coming from a place she's never been in before: happy, confident and at peace. Fans can look for the new album next spring.
