Country darling Sara Evans weathered a painful -- and public -- storm in 2006, when she divorced her former husband, Craig Schelske, amid reports of infidelity. But now, happily married to sports broadcaster Jay Barker since 2008, the multi-platinum selling singer is back with a brand new single, 'A Little Bit Stronger,' which perfectly reflects her current mindset.

"I loved it instantly," she says of the tune. "Everybody's gone through some sort of heartbreak, whether it's losing someone to death or just breaking up with somebody that you were in love with. The very first line says, 'Woke up late today, and I still feel the sting of the pain.' We've all been there, where we wake up and, for just a second, we forgot. Then, all of a sudden we remember, and it just comes flooding back. The song talks about getting stronger, and that's the attitude that you have to have."

The track, written by famed tunesmiths Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott, will also be included on the upcoming soundtrack for the new Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw flick, 'Country Strong.' Sara is thrilled with her career resurgence, and the release of her first album featuring new music in six years. She says everything is actually working according to her timetable. "2010 is totally the year that is going to be completely focused on the record and the music career, because we're settled," she told The Boot earlier this year, referring to her move to Birmingham, Ala. and getting the kids used to their new home and new school. "We're in place. We're ready to launch."

The working mom, whose blended family includes her three children as well as Jay's four from his first marriage, can also add author to her resume. Sara released her first book, 'The Sweet By and By,' earlier this year, which is the first of a four-part series. She is also spending much of the fall on the road, singing songs from her new CD.
