Randy Rogers Married on Same Day as Bandmate’s Wedding

Love is in the air for the Randy Rogers Band! First, frontman Randy Rogers eloped to Hawaii with Chelsea Cai Dowlearn last month, Country Weekly reports. The pair said 'I do' at sunset in Maui on March 27 with only the bride, groom and officiant present. This is the second marriage for the Texas troubadour.

"We just kind of wanted to make it easy for our families and fun for us," Randy tells Country Weekly, adding they scheduled their nuptials between tour dates. "We had opened for Merle Haggard and I got to meet Merle for the first time. The same week that we got to open for George Strait at the Houston Rodeo. Then I got married. [laughs] That was a great week!"

He wasn't the only member of the Texas band scheduling personal time in during the trek. The group's bass player, Jon Richardson, also walked down the aisle on March 27. He tweeted a photo of himself and his new bride, Andy Overton, in Kauai.
