Meghan Linsey and her The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, channeled their inner soul singers for a rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Freeway of Love" during the show's Season 8 finale on Monday evening (May 18).

Linsey blew the audience away with her powerful vocals, while Shelton joined in with a Fender Telecaster and supporting vocals. The two singers were all smiles and obviously immensely enjoyed their time on stage together; throughout the song, they played off each other's energy and the amazing brass band behind them.

"Freeway of Love" wasn't the only song that Linsey performed on the show on Monday. She also sang a new original song called "Change My Mind" and released an accompanying music video. The song will be released and promoted by Republic Records if she wins The Voice.

The other Season 8 The Voice finalists include Sawyer Fredericks, Koryn Hawthorne and Joshua Davis -- and each one desperately wants the crown, succeeding last season's winner, Craig Wayne Boyd.

"It's a crazy ride on the show, you just never know," Linsey says. "For me, I've just tried to do songs I really connect with and define me as an artist.

"I'm just super grateful to have gotten this far," the singer adds.

Linsey is Shelton's final contestant in the running this season, and he had to play a little dirty to get her on Team Blake.

The Voice's Season 8 winner will be crowned on Tuesday night (May 19). Luke Bryan will debut his new single, "Kick the Dust Up," during the finale as well.
