Luke Bryan Says His Wife Offers ‘the Perfect Kind of Stability on All Levels’
Luke Bryan married his wife Caroline in 2006, right before his debut single, "All My Friends Say," from his freshman I'll Stay Me album hit the streets. Since then, the singer has released five studio albums and six Spring Break EPs, and charted more than a dozen Top 10 singles, all while raising two sons, Bo and Tate, and recently taking in their nephew, Til, after the death of Bryan's sister and brother-in-law. While it may seem like a huge undertaking for a music superstar, the "Strip It Down" singer says that much of the credit goes to his supportive spouse.
"She’s the perfect kind of stability that I need on all levels. She wakes up at 5:30 and makes the kids lunches and lets me sleep in," Bryan tells The Boot. "My family still really dedicates themselves to me and works their schedules around what I have going on, so I look forward to one day, when maybe those roles will change a little bit. There will always be all of this hype. At the end of the day, she’ll call me out."
Bryan adds that Caroline, whom he describes as "hot as balls," is much more interested in him as a person than any of the perks that come with being famous.
"We have fun with this career, we have fun with our kids," he adds. "We have a normal marriage. We get into it, we fight, we figure it out, but at the end of the day, we understand that there’s a lot of stuff that comes at us that makes us all crazy, too, so we just try to be normal and enjoy the ride of this."
Bryan is currently crossing the country on his 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour. He will take a break in a few weeks to launch his annual Farm Tour, which kicks off on Sept. 30. A list of all of his upcoming shows is available on his website.
