Luke Bryan Luke Bryan's red-hot career has seen a laundry list of high points: his first No. 1 as a songwriter when Billy Currington took his song, 'Good Directions,' to the top of the charts; winning the ACM's Top New Artist award; his first No. 1 as an artist last year with 'Do I,' winning the CMT Music Award's Breakthrough Video of the Year award for 'Do I' in June; and being nominated for the Top Male Country Artist Teen Choice Award. Most recently, Luke's latest single, 'Rain Is a Good Thing,' broke into the Top 10 on the country chart and is poised to become another chart-topping hit for the Georgia native. So of all those achievements, which makes Luke the proudest?

"Winning the ACM was just definitely the biggest thing that has happened to me in music, and it being fan-voted made it even more special," Luke tells The Boot. "Honestly, winning the CMT Award was unbelievable, too. It seems like around every corner is something pretty crazy happening for me. We're just enjoying the success of everything, but winning the ACM was a real special thing for me. It caught me off guard."

When his name was called during the CMT Music Awards held in Nashville in June, Luke was so excited walking to the stage that he removed his jacket and flung it into the crowd. After thanking his fans for the award onstage, he asked, "My cell phone wasn't in my jacket, was it?"

Luckily, he was only joking. "I was good. It didn't have my phone in it or anything. I thought it would be fun to have a little fun with the crowd and give them a little something back by throwing my jacket out there."

The year is only halfway over which leaves plenty of opportunities for Luke to set and accomplish more career goals. "I want to just continue to put the right songs out and have some hits and grow my shows to where I'm headlining the large arenas," he says. "It's all about setting it all in motion and hopefully having it happen."

In the meantime, Luke and his wife Caroline are awaiting the arrival of their second son, Tatum Christopher, due in August.
