Lucy Hale's long-awaited debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (June 21) was even more memorable, because the singer used the opportunity to debut her brand new single, 'Lie a Little Better.'

The songstress was scheduled to perform on the famous stage in February, but had to cancel due to illness. But for Hale, and her fans, it was worth the wait.

"Little girls dream about their wedding dress," she shared from the stage (quote via People magazine). "I dreamed about the dress I was going to wear on the Opry,"

The 'Pretty Little Liars' star was in good company for her Opry performance. The evening, hosted by Bill Anderson, included performances by Jeannie Seely, the Whites and Steve Wariner.

'Lie a Little Better' is Hale's second single from her freshman 'Road Between' record, which was released earlier this month.

“This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl singing Faith Hill and Shania Twain songs into my hairbrush in the mirror,” she says. “It was both exciting and scary for me to be so vulnerable making this album, and it’s turned out to be something genuinely me and something I’m really proud to share.”

Hale will perform 'Lie a Little Better' on ABC's 'Good Morning America' on Monday, June 30. She filmed the video over the weekend at the Grand Ole Opry. The song will be released to radio on July 21. Download 'Road Between' here.
