The numbers are in, and Lady Antebellum is celebrating a No. 1 spot on the country album charts today. The trio's eponymous debut album sold more than 43,000 copies in its first week, dethroning George Strait, whose 'Troubadour' album falls to the No. 2 spot.

"As the saying goes, 'It takes a village,' and I'm the first to tell you that we have the best village of people around us who make these things happen," says guitarist-keyboardist Dave Haywood (pictured, right). "It's a beautiful day."

Lady Antebellum also has an impressive debut on the Billboard 200 album chart, coming in at No. 4 behind Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. Lady Antebellum is also the first new country act to debut in the Top 5 on the overall iTunes album chart, reaching the No. 3 spot behind Mariah Carey and Tristan Prettyman.
