Kip Moore, Vince Gill and Pam Tillis are all heading to the small screen. They're the latest celebrities set to make guest appearances on the ABC drama, "Nashville." The singers will play themselves in a scene where Deacon (played by Charles Esten) is celebrating his birthday. While Kip is happy to make his debut on the hit series, he hopes viewers realize the show doesn't necessarily portray how the real Music City operates.

"I don't think that everybody believes that's exactly how Nashville is, " says the singer (quote via ABC News Radio). "Tell people to lighten up a little bit. It's TV. You gotta put the drama in there, and you gotta do stuff entertaining for people."

Pam Tillis' connection the show is a personal one. She is close friends with "Nashville" creator, Callie Khouri, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Thelma & Louise."

The "Nashville" soundtrack, "The Music of Nashville: Season 1 Volume 1," released in December and featuring songs performed by "Nashville's" leading actors, including Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, landed in the Top 5 on the country charts.

Kip's current tour boss, Brantley Gilbert, appeared alongside Chris Young in an episode earlier this year. Kip's episode, which will also star Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, airs Feb. 27.

"Nashville" airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM ET on ABC.
