Keith Urban just wrapped his first season as a coach on the reality TV talent show, "The Voice" in Australia, and while he admits he was thrilled to be on the show, he says his first priority is still making music.

"My thing is making sure I have an album done, which is really what I'm doing next week," he recently revealed on Australia's Kyle and Jackie O radio show. "Mostly I'm just going to be in the studio for the next [few] months. If the record comes together the way I hope it does, I'll definitely be there next year, and if it takes longer, then I'll have to figure out how I can make it work."

While the singer has not committed to another season of Australia's "The Voice" -- which also featured Seal, Delta Goodrem and Joel Madden as celeb coaches in its inaugural season --he will always remain an avid supporter of the show. "I don't know what sort of courage it takes to get up there -- the idea of doing that is something I find so intimidating and nerve-racking," Keith tells Australia's Herald Sun newspaper. "I don't think anyone gets out of paying their dues -- you just do it in different levels. Maybe it's in front of an arena full of people instead of a pub full of people. Wherever it is, you're still learning in the trenches. For me the trenches were tiny little pubs and clubs in front of very few people and it slowly got bigger and bigger and bigger. Nowadays it might be just on television in front of millions of people -- that's where you are going to fall on your a-- or you are going to rise to the occasion."

Whether or not next year includes a return to TV for the 44-year-old country superstar, he is excited about his future plans. "Lots of stuff coming down the pipeline," he recently shared. "I'm jonesing to get back on stage anywhere ... anywhere sometime soon."

The husband of Nicole Kidman (and proud father of their two little girls), also plans on spending much of the next year on the road. While dates for the United States have yet to be announced, the "For You" singer will kick off his Australian trek on January 25, 2013, in Brisbane. See all confirmed dates here.
