Katie ArmigerRising country artist Katie Armiger has teamed up with the Hear the Music Live non-profit organization to give pre-teens and teens in foster homes and orphanages a chance to attend a live concert in their area. Katie performed a show in Nashville for some of the kids in the program and was asked by Hear the Music Live founder Steve Nornhold to record a theme song he had written to help promote the organization's efforts. Katie jumped at the chance to help out and invited some of the kids involved in the program to the studio to give them an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the recording process.

"I am so grateful to be able to help bring some music into these children's lives with the Hear the Music Live organization," says Katie. "I don't know where I would be without music so giving kids the opportunity to experience a live concert is so amazing."

Ninety percent of the children that Hear The Music Live sends to concerts have never been to a live concert before. The children involved in the organization are in homes that provide quality residential treatment programs for abused and neglected children and adolescents.

Other artists who have taken part in the Hear the Music Live program by helping kids to attend their shows and/or enabling backstage opportunities to meet the stars include Keith Urban, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Gloriana, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts.

The Hear the Music Live theme song recorded by Katie will be available on iTunes. For more information on Hear the Music Live go to the organization's official website.
