What a week singer Kacey Musgraves has had! The "Merry Go Round" singer scored three ACM nominations on Wednesday (Feb. 13), including one for Female Vocalist of the Year, putting the relative newcomer in competition with Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. She's also up for Video of the Year (Artist and Producer) for "Merry Go Round." All before her debut album, Same Trailer, Different Park is even released! (The disc is due March 19). "Holy sh--, y'all! I am speechless and so thankful," says Kacey. "As a newcomer it's an honor to be included in such a talented group of ladies."

Kacey's week also included a high-profile performance on NBC's "Late Night With With Jimmy Fallon," during which she performed "Merry Go Round." (Watch the video below.)

Kacey has another connection to one of her ACM competitors. She is the co-writer of Miranda's latest single, "Mama's Broken Heart." Miranda even took time out on her wedding day to convince Kacey to let her cut the song. Her compromise? Allowing Kacey to sing harmony on the tune.
