With almost 200 concert dates on the books for 2009, Justin Moore has been spending plenty of travel time in the air. It's an experience that leaves the newcomer with a racing heart and sweaty palms on a regular basis.

"I absolutely hate flying," Justin tells The Boot with a smile and shake of his head. "I'd much rather be on a bus. My manager makes fun of me. He goes, 'Justin, it's like a bumpy road.' I'm like, 'No, it's 40,000 feet in the air! It ain't a bumpy road no more!'"

Justin says he might be more at ease if an additional level of security level was available at airports -- being able to personally screen the pilots prior to flying. "You're putting your life in the hands of perfect strangers. If I could interview the pilot before and make sure they ain't hungover or something like that, I'd be OK with that."

In recent weeks, Justin's schedule has had him criss-crossing the U.S., flying, for example, from Nashville to Phoenix, Phoenix to Tampa, and Tampa to Long Beach, Calif.

"It's just ridiculous," says the 'Small Town U.S.A. singer. "Thank goodness some of that is slowing down. If I can make it through this year then it's a majority of bus stuff left. I told somebody the other day I'd be OK with flying if I didn't have to take off, fly through the air, and land."

If you figure out that one, Justin, let us know how it works!
