Jason Aldean certainly has caught the attention of country music fans. His latest album, My Kinda Party, topped the charts and spawned five Top 5 singles, including the Kelly Clarkson duet, "Don't You Wanna Stay," which became a pop sensation as well. But in spite of Party's multi-platinum success, the Georgia native says he has no trepidation about releasing the follow-up, Night Train.

"It's like when Michael Jackson put out the Bad album," Jason explains to AZCentral.com. "Could you really compare that and go, 'Well, it wasn't as good as Thriller?' It's just different. And that's more the way to look at it.

"I'm not, by any means, comparing my records to Thriller and Bad," he hastens to add.

Still, the three-time CMA award nominee (including one for the coveted Entertainer of the Year), is thrilled with the way his new set of tunes evolved.

"We had plenty of time to make this record," he says, "plenty of time to find songs, and I think with each record, we've gotten better and better. So yeah, I love the record. It's been killing me that it's finished and I can't let anybody hear it."

Once fans do get to hear it, however, Jason insists he has no specific expectations for Night Train's success. "Do I hope the next record does better? Absolutely," he tells The Boot. "If it doesn't, will I consider it a failure? No. Wide Open [his 2009 CD] didn't sell that many records either but I didn't consider it a failure. We still sold a million-and-a-half records, that's fine with me. I'll take that all day. So I don't worry about that stuff too much. It's going to do what it does and it will be fine."

Fans anxious to hear Jason's latest album have just a few more weeks to wait. Night Train will hit shelves on Oct. 16.
