Jason Aldean's Old Boots, New Dirt album isn't even a year old yet, but the country music hitmaker is already back in the studio, working on what will be his seventh studio album.

On Tuesday (July 14), Aldean shared a photo on Instagram of himself in a studio, in front of a microphone.

"Back in the studio for album #7 ... Cant wait for u guys to hear what me and the boys are up to!!!" Aldean writes in the photo's caption. He also tagged his band members -- Tully Kennedy, Kurt Allison and Rich Redmond -- along with his producer, Michael Knox, and included the hashtag "#newmusic."

Aldean has stormed up the charts with his three singles from Old Boots, New Dirt -- "Burnin' It Down," "Just Gettin' Started" and his current single, "Tonight Looks Good on You" -- but the Georgia native says that he isn't happy that his songs are being labeled as "bro-country."

“It bothers me because I don’t feel like it’s a compliment,”he says. “To me, it’s sort of a backhanded thing that comes from a very narrow-minded listener, and I don’t know who came up with that ridiculous term.”

Old Boots, New Dirt was one of only two country albums to earn platinum status, for sales of over one million copies, last year. (Eric Church's The Outsiders was the other.)

“We put so much time and passion into choosing the best songs for this album, and this brings a lot of hard work full circle for me,” Aldean says of the sales feat. “It’s like Christmas came early! I couldn’t do it without the best country music fans in the world, who never stop believing in what I do and always follow me, even if I may take a creative left turn every now and then.”

Aldean may have gotten some inspiration for his new record from his recent marriage: The father of two wed Brittany Kerr in March, in a beachside ceremony in Mexico.
