The new action movie 'Homefront' opens in theaters on Wednesday (Nov. 27), but readers of The Boot are getting a sneak peek via this exclusive preview clip.

Written and co-produced by Sylvester Stallone, 'Homefront' stars Jason Statham as a widowed ex-DEA agent who moves with his young daughter to a backwater town in Louisiana, hoping to build a quiet new life. But trouble finds them in their new home in the form of a meth-addicted mother (Kate Bosworth) of a school bully, her drug dealer brother (James Franco) and his girlfriend (Winona Ryder), plus a local gang who catch on to his identity and want to exact revenge.

Stratham was working with Stallone on 'The Expendables 2' in Bulgaria when Stallone mentioned the script, which he originally intended to be the final chapter of the Rambo franchise. Based on a novel by Chuck Logan, the resulting film was directed by Gary Fleder. Appropriately, given the situations Statham's character finds himself in once he moves to what he thought would be a peaceful town, the film features Jason Aldean's hit single 'Crazy Town' as part of the action scenes.
