Jake Owen is back in full force. Now recovered from his Jan. 17 surgery to fix his broken collarbone, the country star resumed touring with a sold-out show over the weekend.

"I'm thrilled to be back out on the road, and to have a sold-out show our first weekend back is such an awesome feeling," says the 'Alone With You' singer. "I'm not very good at sitting around the house taking it easy."

Jake was injured in a snowboarding accident in Colorado on Jan. 13. It was the second time the athletic star broke his collarbone, as he first broke it after falling off a four-wheeler when he was a kid.

"I had eight screws and a metal plate put in to repair my collarbone," Jake says of his most recent surgery. "I've had to spend a lot of time at doctor's appointments and physical therapy sessions over the past few weeks. Getting back out on stage was the best therapy I've had."

The Florida native performed Friday night (Feb. 3) for a near sell-out crowd at Cowboy's in Dallas, Texas, followed by a sold-out show Saturday at Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla. Before he resumes touring, he'll make a stop back home in Nashville tonight (Feb. 7) for the 'Act of Valor' movie premiere. Jake co-wrote and recorded the song, 'The Best I Can,' for the movie's soundtrack.
