Easton Corbin is putting the finishing touches on his second studio album.

"I think I've grown as an artist, but it's still country," the Florida native tells The Boot of his upcoming project. "That's the important thing!"

Easton scored big on his 2010 self-titled debut, which yielded two consecutive No. 1 singles with 'A Little More Country Than That' and 'Roll With It.' As far as the dreaded 'sophomore slump' is concerned, Easton insists the idea is the furthest thing on his mind while in the studio.

"I don't worry about it," he says. "Hopefully this record will be just as good as the first, and I feel like it will be. I think if I look at this record like I did the last one, it should be just as good."

Easton has been doing a lot of writing with producer Carson Chamberlain and songwriter Mark D. Sanders, one of the creative forces behind Lee Ann Womack's monster anthem, 'I Hope You Dance.' The album is expected to be released in 2012.
