When newcomer Easton Corbin first moved to Nashville, he got a job at a local Ace Hardware store to make ends meet, while he was pursuing a musical career. But don't expect him to pick up a hammer and help with home repairs any time soon.

"I probably tear up more than I fix," Easton tells The Boot with a laugh. "I've got buddies that can build anything ... but I'm probably the least talented guy in building something. My stepdad can build anything, and when I help him out, he pretty much tells me what to do and I do it. I learned a lot working there ... but as far as doing that kind of stuff or working on a car or something like that, take it to somebody else. [laughs] I can change the oil, but as far as getting real technical, I'm not real good at it."

Easton doesn't have to worry, he's doing just fine at his current job, thank you. He's closing in on the top of the country singles charts with 'Roll With It,' his second release from his self-titled debut album. His first single, 'A Little More Country Than That,' topped the charts and is nominated for a pair of CMA Awards this year.
