In February, Drake White and his band the Big Fire will kick off his very first headlining trek, the Spark Tour 2017.

White's Spark Tour includes 17 all across the U.S. Its first date is Feb. 4 in Bangor, Maine, and after that, stops in Katy, Texas; Greenville, S.C.; New York City; Boston, Mass.; Nashville, Tenn.; Indianapolis, Ind.; San Diego, Calif., and more are planned. During the tour, at the end of February, White will also stop at the 2017 Country Radio Seminar to play the New Faces of Country Music Show, along with Maren MorrisWilliam Michael MorganJon Pardi and Granger Smith.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get out on the road for my first headlining dates,” White says in a press release. “The Big Fire and I are road warriors. We have been playing together for many years, so to be out there on our own tour is really special for us."

The Spark Tour 2017 draws its name from White's first full-length album, Spark; the 12-track record follows his It Feels Good EP (released in September of 2015), and it features his current single, "Makin' Me Look Good Again." The project, essentially, took White's entire life to come to fruition.

“It’s the culmination of 32 years. My first 32 years,” White tells The Boot of his debut disc. “There’s thoughts and memories that go back to childhood with this thing. There’s influences from my dad’s record collection all the way to bluegrass festivals, to gospel music, to rock ‘n’ roll and reggae. There’s just so much diversity in it because it’s literally the first 32 years in my life.”

White's fingerprints are all over the disc, too: He co-wrote 10 of the 12 tracks.

“There’s so many different songs, so many different moods to it, because I’ve had my whole life to write it, and I’ve had a lot of different songs to choose from," White explains. "I went in very strategically and picked these tunes."
