Craig Morgan was in North Carolina on Thursday, working with volunteers to assemble care packages to be sent to U.S. troops. Later he performed a free concert for military members and their families in a hangar at Fort Bragg's Simmons Army Airfield. The whole experience was something of a homecoming for Morgan, who spent two of his 10 years in the Army at Fort Bragg. But now the singer can claim another home, thanks to a surprise guest who strolled on stage during the concert. As Morgan was performing the John Conlee hit, 'Rose Colored Glasses,' Conlee himself joined in on the song, but not before asking a couple of important questions.

"Craig, where are your rose colored glasses?" Conlee inquired, to which Craig replied he must have left them at home. Then Conlee asked Morgan if he knew where he would be on October 25.

"I don't know," Morgan answered.

"Well, I happen to know that you're going to be on the Opry," said Conlee, adding, "How would you like to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry?"

Morgan then proceeded to break down on stage, exclaiming, "Oh God, yes! I do love the Grand Ole Opry! And I gotta tell you, it's cool to be invited right here ... This means so much to me. And it means even more to share this here with you."

Craig Morgan's Opry induction will come at the end of what will surely be a busy week for the singer. His fifth CD, 'That's Why,' will be released on October 21.
