Craig Morgan had his share of odd jobs while trying to launch his music career, including a stint in security at a department store. The former Army ranger recalls seeing some strange things over the store's monitors from time to time. Craig tells Catcountry96.fm it could get pretty entertaining -- if not downright weird -- on occasion. "We've had people making out in the store beneath the camera, and you're like, 'God, do we stop them, or do we watch this and see how far it goes?'"

Craig adds that the weirdest thing ever stolen on his watch was a $12 umbrella -- not that strange, except that it wasn't even raining when the umbrella was stolen!

Lots of artists had to take odd jobs to support their music habits in the early days. Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley knocked out asbestos from walls and mowed lawns for a landscape company. And even future superstar Reba McEntire had to pay dues by checking records for an oil lease company. She also taught elementary-school children before hitting the big time.

"I think all the kids at school when I was doing my student teaching started buying the albums as soon as mine came out so I wouldn't come back to teaching!" Reba recalls with a laugh.

But perhaps Reba's oddest odd job was helping her dad turn bulls into steers, in what was a pretty gory process! Read about that, plus the crazy pre-fame jobs of Faith Hill, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley and more here.
