The 11th annual ACM Honors ceremony, which was held on Aug. 23 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, will air Friday (Sept. 15) on CBS. The show pays tribute to ACM Awards honorees and category winners who were not recognized during the televised broadcast in April. Eric Church, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson and Kelsea Ballerini were among the awards recipients, with performers including Vince Gill, Little Big TownMaren MorrisBrad PaisleyThomas RhettHillary Scott, Chris Stapleton and Alan Jackson.

Also a winner at the 2017 ACM Honors was the TV show Nashville, which was bestowed with the Tex Ritter Film Award. The honor recognizes "an outstanding television movie, series or feature film released during the preceding calendar year which prominently features country music.”

"I don’t know how I managed to be standing here," Clare Bowen, who plays Scarlett O'Connor on Nashville, gushed to The Boot prior to the ACM Honors ceremony. "It’s so wonderful to be accepted and welcomed by everybody in Nashville, and then all of our wonderful fans, and then the music community. They didn’t have to like us, and they’ve been so wonderful and a part of everything ... so to get to stand on stages like [the Grand Ole Opry] and the one we get to stand on this evening, the Mother Church of Country Music, it’s a huge honor, and I’m still trying to figure out how it all happened. We’re very grateful. It’s a humbling experience."

Brett Young was on hand at the 2017 ACM Honors as well, to help present some of the night's trophies. For Young, the highlight of the night wasn't being in a room with the other presenters and performers; instead, the CMA Awards nominee was excited to acknowledge and reward those who often remain unnoticed.

"I think acknowledging and showing appreciation and giving credit to the people that are in the studio Monday through Friday making records sound better," Young tells The Boot, "and promoters and club owners and all the people you forget to think about when you’re attending a show or putting a CD in your car, but are so influential into what country music is and what it has become -- I think it’s important to acknowledge them and to give them their night. So the fact that I get to hand them awards is an honor and a privilege."

The 11th annual ACM Honors will air at 9PM ET on CBS.
