Chris Young decided to do something really special for his devoted fan club members this year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his fan club party, so he took a lesson from the military and the many soldiers and servicemen he's come in contact with and created a one-of-a-kind coin to hand out to the 500 lucky attendees. He got the idea after several overseas trips to visit the troops, where he received many of the special military coins from soldiers himself.

"We wanted to do something special for the 10th anniversary for my fan club party," Chris tells The Boot. "I've been going over to Iraq and one of the things they do over there, and it's much more meaningful obviously, but they coin each other and everybody has their own coin. And I've been coined a lot over there, so we thought we'd make a coin for the fan club and coin everybody as they come through the meet-and-greet line. It's a different kind of significance, but it's something special that everybody at that party could have -- there's only 500 people now that have one of those. I wanted to do something different."

During his party, Chris received a special new Secret Service coin from the founder of Stars for Stripes, Judy Seale, for his service to the organization. He admitted he's been trying for awhile now to figure out how to display the bags of coins he's accumulated from all of his trips.

"I get coined so often that every time I come back from Iraq, it's one of the coolest things ever, but the bottom of my bag is just full of these coins. It's one of those things where I almost stopped and bought something in Germany when we went through before we came back to the U.S. We went and visited one of the hospitals in Germany, and there was a shop where they had a wall mount where you could put all your coins, and they had spaces for them, and I almost bought one of them. I wish I had now, because I've been back a second time, and we've played some more military bases, and I've got all these coins and they're just kind of hanging out in one spot in my house. So I've got to figure out some way to mount 'em and put 'em all up!"

Chris may want to prepare some wall space in his house for some other heavy metal as well, since his new single, 'Tomorrow,' just certified gold, selling 500,000 copies. The new CD, 'Neon,' which features his latest hit, hits stores Tuesday.
