Brad Paisley has seen his life change tremendously since he took on the role of father with the birth of his son, Huck, four years ago, and a second time nearly two years ago with the birth of Jasper (who turns two on Sunday, April 17).

"Fatherhood changes everything! It changes your sleep patterns, most of all," Brad tells The Boot. "It changes your beliefs in almost [everything]; it just shakes you to your core. One of my favorite sayings that I've heard somewhere is: "It's to have your heart go walking around without you." It really is that way, so you feel things deeper. I'm no longer concerned about my safety; I'm concerned for two other human beings' safety, and it makes you that much deeper as a human being."

Having children has contributed to Brad's professional life, as well. "I think it helps you as a songwriter, because you feel more," notes the superstar. "Any time you can feel emotion to a deeper level, you can write better."

You can hear some of those deeper emotions when you listen back to some of Brad's recent songs such as 'Letter to Me,' 'Waitin' on a Woman,' 'Then,' 'Welcome to the Future' and 'Anything Like Me' -- all released following the birth of his first child.

Brad, who is racing up the country charts with his latest single, 'Old Alabama,' releases his new album, 'This Is Country Music' on May 24, and returns to the road as his H2O II: Wetter & Wilder tour kicks off at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa., on May 28.
