Blake Shelton's country music career couldn't be hotter right now, made even sweeter by his newfound fame as a TV star. One of four celebrity coaches on NBC's hit show, 'The Voice,' the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year joins Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine in the famous over-sized red swivel chairs each week, as they mentor aspiring singers on live TV. The show, which has been renewed for a second season, hopes to have all four famous faces return for round two, but the 'Honey Bee' singer reveals the details are still being worked out.

"The reality of it is, you've got four different artists who are doing completely different things and a network that has a time schedule that they want things to happen in," he explains (quote via Knoxville, Tenn. radio station WIVK). "Who knows what'll happen, but I'd hate to miss it."

Not only would the Oklahoma native miss the chance to interact with budding talent, he'd also miss the camaraderie among the coaches. "We realized that we had some chemistry with each other, and that was just luck of the draw," he notes. "When the show is over someday, we will remain friends."

The 34-year-old acknowledges his reasons for wanting to do the show run far deeper than just expanding his own superstar career. "I want to be a friend to these people on my team and let them know that I'm on their side, and I want to help them with their song choices and the keys that they sing their songs in and how they approach being on stage," Blake tells The Boot. "Ultimately, and even the ones that aren't on my team anymore that I can't talk about, keeping in touch with them and being sure that they have my phone number and they can call me anytime."

If Blake decides to return to the show for the second season, he will have the full support of his new wife, Miranda Lambert, even though the taping schedule wreaks havoc on his schedule. "This is something huge for him. Not only for him, but for country music because he's representing our genre and he's doing a great job," explains Blake's proud bride. "It's really showing a different side of him. He's so involved with this contestants, and now I'm attached to them and I'm crying over their performances."

The outdoor-loving farm boy is currently a part-time resident of the city of Los Angeles, while he juggles his duties taping the live episodes of 'The Voice' with his role as opening act for Brad Paisley's H20 II: Wetter & Wilder tour. Blake will perform tonight (June 15) in Burlington, Iowa, followed by shows in Ohio, Maryland and Indiana. See his concert schedule here.
