He's been a touring troubadour for the past nine years, opening shows for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, just to name a few. But now, Billy Currington has his own opening acts. The 'People Are Crazy' singer has announced his first headlining tour, to kick off early next year. Labelmates David Nail and Kip Moore will join him on the trek.

The Boot caught up with Billy earlier this year on Kenny's Goin' Coastal Tour. He told us he's learned the secret to playing huge stadiums: connecting with the audience through music they know by heart. "In the stadium, where the audience is so far back, you might lose them if you're playing new stuff," the singer explained. "If they hear something they know, even if it sounds like AM radio to them, they'll sing along."

You can bet Billy's 2012 audiences will be singing along to all seven of his career chart-toppers, including the latest, 'Let Me Down Easy,' from his fourth studio album, 'Enjoy Yourself.' Exact dates for the tour have not yet been announced.
