Billy CurringtonBilly Currington celebrated the recent chart-topping success of his hit 'That's How Country Boys Roll' with not one, but two parties in Nashville on Monday (March 29).

Billy co-wrote the song with buddies Brett Jones and Dallas Davidson, and he didn't expect it would even see the light of day. "It's so cool to have a No. 1 as a writer," Billy tells The Boot. "It was actually Brett Jones' idea that he brought to a trip. We had no plans of writing anything, but it just kind of happened that we did, and it was this song. I wasn't even sure I was going to record it."

Billy's certainly glad he did, as the track went all the way to No. 1 on the charts. "I think the song appeals to a lot of guys," explains Billy. "It seems that way when I play the song live in different parts of the U.S. It's about just being a boy in the woods, in the country, and there's a lot of people out there like that. So, I guess just the simplicity of it."

'That's How Country Boys Roll' is the third consecutive No. 1 from the Rincon, Ga. native's album, 'Little Bit of Everything,' which begs the question, will there be a fourth release from this particular collection? Not according to the singer-songwriter. "Any artist hopes that you could put out every song on the album," laments Billy. "But I was told [we] were going to go ahead and move onto a new album. So, I went in and recorded a few songs the other day, like the next day. And so we'll have them ready in a couple of weeks, so we'll pick from that."

Expect a new single from Billy's upcoming album to hit the airwaves very soon. In the meantime, you can catch Billy in concert. His next tour stop is in Vicksburg, Miss. on April 9.
