The International Bluegrass Music Association has revealed the nominees for the 2015 IBMA Awards, as well as its 2015 Hall of Fame inductees and 2015 Distinguished Achievement Awards winners.

Steve Martin is one of five Distinguished Achievement Awards recipients this year. He, along with Alison Brown, Murphy Henry, "Bashful Brother" Oswald Kirby and the International Bluegrass Music Museum, will be honored with the prestigious award, which is given to artists or organizations who have significantly contributed to bluegrass music.

Even though he's widely known for his award-winning acting, Martin is already the proud recipient of three IBMA trophies and is a Grammy Awards winner as well, both for his comedy material and for his music. Martin has won Grammys for Best Country Instrumental Performance, Best Bluegrass Album and Best American Roots Song.

Also being honored at the 2015 IBMA Awards are Bill Keith and Larry Sparks, who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Balsam Range, Hot Rize, the Del McCoury Band, the Earls of Leicester and the Gibson Brothers are all nominated for the prestigious Entertainer of the Year Award. Other bluegrass artists such as the Punch Brothers, Del McCoury and Rhonda Vincent are also among the nominees in other categories. A full list of nominees is available on the IBMA's website.

The 2015 IBMA Awards will be presented on Oct. 1, during the annual World of Bluegrass event in Raleigh, N.C. The ceremony will be broadcast live on SiriusXM.
