The Band Perry have been on a whirlwind ride since their first single, 'Hip to My Heart,' hit airwaves in late 2009. But in spite of their new roles as celebrities, the three sibling bandmates -- Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry -- say they plan to live out their life in the public eye in a way that will keep them out of the tabloids.

"It's a by-product of who we are," Kimberly tells The Boot of their careful approach to stardom. "Our parents have been really involved in our careers on a professional level, as well as a personal level. We want to be really responsible. Our fans are a young fan base so they are looking, just like we always did, to some of our artist heroes. It's just who we've always been as individuals and as a family."

While they may be model citizens in front of their fans, they aren't afraid to show their true colors behind closed bus doors. "To sum it up in one phrase, we like to say that it's wonderful we know each other like the back of our hand, but we can also use the back of our hand on each other and still love each other at the end of the day," Kimberly jokes. "We don't have a lot of boundaries, we're extremely tight and we only argue over what's for dinner."

The brothers and sister each have their own methods of getting their own way, especially at meal time, but the trio agree Reid almost always wins. "Well I am the middle child so I do like all middle children and keep the peace," he explains. "I like to do something they call 'working on the wear down,' which is basically filibustering, where I just keep hounding a point until they actually will accept it or agree with it."

"I'll be in the mood for Italian, they'll be in the mood for Mexican or vice versa, but one thing we are never in the mood for is sushi," Kimberly adds. "We all agree on that! I know a lot of people like sushi. I just can't eat it ... I would feel more healthy if I could get into sushi."

"We're from Alabama," Neil chimes in. "We grew up on deep-fried food."

The Band Perry will have plenty more opportunities to try out different foods. They're heading out with Tim McGraw on his Emotional Traffic tour, and will also visit Canada as part of Keith Urban's Get Closer world tour. See their tour schedule here.
