The post-holiday period is traditionally a quiet one for new album releases, and 2011 is getting off to a whisper of a start. No new albums debut this week on the country album chart, with the exception of a 'Country Christmas' compilation which bows at No. 30 (and will likely be nowhere in sight next week).

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Taylor Swift's 'Speak Now' continues its reign at the top of the country albums chart and also holds on to the No. 1 spot on the multi-genre Billboard 200 chart, with sales of 77,000 copies. Staying put at No. 2 on the country survey is Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party,' while Rascal Flatts' 'Nothing Like This' moves from No. 4 to No. 3.

Taylor also has the No. 1 tune on the digital country sales chart with 'Back to December,' taking the position back from the Band Perry, whose 'If I Die Young' drops to No. 2.

One artist is finding a home on a couple of different charts, thanks to his songwriting. This week on the Heatseekers chart, which covers releases by new artists in all genres, Brantley Gilbert's 'Halfway to Heaven' holds the No. 5 spot nearly one year after its release. Brantley is the writer of the title track of Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party.'
