Willie Nelson’s Ranch Hit by Tornado

Willie Nelson's ranch, called Luck, Texas, suffered severe damage as heavy winds tore through parts of the Lone Star State last week.

"Our beautiful Luck wasn't so Lucky recently," Nelson shared on his Facebook page, along with a few pictures of the damage. "Last week's tornado-force winds ripped several buildings apart, including the bank, the post office, and left World Headquarters holding on by a splinter."

The ranch was built to look like an authentic Western town in 1986 as the set of the film 'Red Headed Stranger,' starring Nelson and Morgan Fairchild. While generally not open to the public, the ranch, which boasts a church, bank and post office, has been used during SXSW's annual Heartbreaker Banquet.

Still, in spite of the damages, the 81 year old says there is some good news.

"We are happy to report no one was hurt and the church only had a few windows blown out," he adds. "Some towns got it a lot worse, so we aren't complaining. Luck is a tough town. It can be rebuilt."

Nelson also uses the ranch to house horses he rescues, which can later be adopted by Habitat for Horses. Thankfully, the animals did not seem to be injured in the devastating winds.

The tunesmith has had some good news this week. He released his latest album, 'Band of Brothers,' which features nine original songs, as well as five cover tunes, including Vince Gill's 'Whenever You Come Around' and Bill Anderson's 'The Songwriters.'
