Wade Bowen hosted his 16th annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and Concert over the weekend and raised an astonishing quarter of a million dollars, thanks to the artists and more than 4,000 fans who turned out for the Waco, Texas event.

“What an amazing year! I still cannot believe how great everything went and the turnout we had. Waco and its surrounding communities have really jumped on board and supported this event like I never imagined,” he says. “The jam was probably the most fun I've ever had on stage with some of my best friends! I truly cannot wait until next year to do it all over again!"

The two-day event featured a star-studded concert, with performances by Mark Chesnutt, Randy Rogers, Pat Green, the Departed, Stoney LaRue, Willy and Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly, Micky and the Motorcars, William Clark Green and Adam Hood, as well as a golf tournament, which sold out well in advance of the event.

All proceeds benefit the Bowen Family Foundation, which supports various charities related to children.

“I truly love having the opportunity to help those in need, which is one of the many reasons the Bowen Classic is very important to me,” the singer-songwriter explains. “I’ve been very privileged over the last 16 years to have such dedicated and hard-working friends and family to help contribute to the success of this event and the Bowen Family Foundation. I look forward to continuing my efforts to raise money for others, while having a blast doing it!”

Bowen will spend much of his summer performing all over Texas, as well as stops in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. See a list of all of his upcoming shows here.
