Vince Gill should be one really proud papa after his performance at the 2016 NHL All-Star Game on Sunday (Jan. 31). The country star performed the U.S. National Anthem at the event along with his daughter Corrina and blew the crowd assembled at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena away.

Press play on the video above to watch the Gills' performance, during which the pair donned All-Star Game jerseys. Gill sang half of the song, and then handed the duty over to 14-year-old Corrina, his daughter with wife Amy Grant.

“The way we’ve decided to do it is, I’ll sing the low parts, and she’ll sing the high parts, and neither one of us will have to stretch too bad, because she has a little trouble hitting the low notes, and I have a little trouble hitting the high notes at my age," Gill revealed before the performance.

Singing in front of so many people would make many a young singer nervous, but Corrina handled the task like it was no big deal. (Perhaps having two famous singers as parents helps!)

“Well, as a father, anytime you get a chance to see your kid shine, that’s about the best feeling that there is in life,” Gill says. “I wouldn’t have asked her if she wasn’t a pretty off-the-hook great singer. She’s really something for as young as she is. To me, at 14, she’s kind of head, hands and feet above the rest of us who are musical and have done it for a living."

The daddy-daughter duo received an enormous amount of applause after their performance. Gill looked especially emotional as his daughter sang into the mic, and at the very end, he patted his heart in a proud gesture.

Gill also acted as a celebrity coach for the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, along with Dierks Bentley, Chris Young and his wife, who was filling in for Charles Kelley, who was previously selected but was unable to attend.
