Trailer Choir's Marc Fortney and Vinny Hickerson have announced the departure of vocalist Crystal Hoyt, leaving founding members Marc (better known as "Butter") and Big Vinny to forge ahead as a duo.

According to a press release posted February 1 on Trailer Choir's official website, Crystal opted to leave the band to pursue other interests.

"Crystal is a dear friend, and we wish her much success," says Big Vinny.

Butter assures fans Crystal left the trio amicably. "The band is very proud of its work and efforts together and is parting on very supportive terms," he assures.

Trailer Choir released four charting singles, including the Top 30 hit 'Rockin' the Beer Gut.' The trio released 'Off the Hillbilly Hook,' a six-song EP, to digital outlets in 2009. Their full-length studio album, 'Tailgate,' was released on July 6, 2010.

"Working with Butter and Vinny has been an incredible, and I wish them nothing but the best," says Crystal. "We are looking forward to what 2011 has to bring for all of us."

As for the other interests Crystal is pursuing, one of them is a brand-new makeup blog. Before her career as Trailer Choir's blond beauty, Crystal made her living as a makeup artist.
