One day, Billy Ray Cyrus will make a heck of a granddad. He can take his children's children fishing and regale them with tales of the early '90s, when his tune 'Achy Breaky Heart' ruled the charts and had folks line-dancing from coast to coast. But it's not going to happen just yet.

Contrary to previous reports, Billy Ray's son Trace and his fiancée, Disney actress Brenda Song, are not expecting a baby.

"We don't have any [grandchildren] in the can right now," Billy Ray tells Country Weekly. "In today's world, one rumor gets loose and before you know it -- boom -- everybody has the story."

Trace first hit the music scene as the lead guitarist of Metro Station, a pop-rock band that hit the Top 10 with 'Shake It.' He's now in a band called Ashland HIGH and also runs a clothing line aptly named Southern Made Hollywood Paid. Trace proposed to Brenda last month, in the wake of the pregnancy rumors.

Later this month, father of the groom Billy Ray will appear in the Hallmark Channel film 'Christmas Comes Home to Canaan,' the sequel to 2009's 'Christmas in Canaan,' in which he also starred.

As for grandkids, the singer-actor says, "I think I'd be a great grandpa. I look forward to it one day."
