Tim McGraw, ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ Debuts at No. 1
For the 14th time in his career, Tim McGraw has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Tim's Two Lanes of Freedom, his first for Big Machine, debuts at No. 1 with more than 106,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album also comes in at No. 2 on the multi-genre Billboard 200, edged out by Josh Groban.
Tim also has the No. 1 tune on the Top Country Digital Tracks chart, but shares the honor with two other country superstars, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, who join him on "Highway Don't Care," from his No. 1 album. The song registered an impressive 85,881 downloads in its first week, topping another debut at No. 2, Lady Antebellum's "Downtown," with 72,358 downloads in its first week at digtal outlets.
Taylor Swift's Red album stays at No. 2 on the country chart but drops out of the Billboard 200 Top 10 for the first time since its release. The two-week chart-topper, Set You Free, by Gary Allan, is No. 3, with Florida Georgia Line's Here's to the Good Times and Hunter Hayes' self-titled album rounding out the Top 5 at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Kenny Chesney's new hit single, "Pirate Flag," is No. 7 on the digital tracks chart in its first week. Also debuting is "Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere with "Consider Me" at No. 24. And in a big move, thanks to her performance on ABC's "The Bachelor," Sarah Darling's "Home to Me" jumps from No. 83 to No. 28!
