Thomas Rhett may have a new album soon! The singer-songwriter caught up with The Boot on the 2016 ACM Honors ... and he casually mentioned that, yes, he's been working on his third album.

"You know, we've been working a lot on the writing front, even before the second record came out," says Rhett. "So we have a lot of songs, and we're already getting in the studio and starting work on a third album."

Rhett only released his sophomore album, Tangled Up, on Sept. 25, 2015. The record reached No. 2 on the Top Country Albums Chart and has earned him three consecutive No. 1 songs so far: "Crash and Burn," Die a Happy Man" and "T-Shirt," the latter of which became Rhett's sixth consecutive No. 1 song. Rhett recently released "Vacation," Tangled Up's fourth single.

In October, Rhett will host his first-ever Thomas Rhett & Friends charity concert. Set for Oct. 4 at the Old School in Nashville, the event will benefit 147 Million Orphans; in addition to Rhett, the show will also feature Dierks Bentley, Walker Hayes and Shane McAnally, as well as additional guest songwriters and artists to be announced.
