2019 ACM Awards: Thomas Rhett Brings ‘Look What God Gave Her’ to Vegas
Thomas Rhett took the stage at the 2019 ACM Awards to perform his new single "Look What God Gave Her." The annual awards show took place on Sunday night (April 7) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rhett began his performance from his seat in the audience; as the music began, he gave his wife Lauren a kiss, and then ran up the stage stairs. His stage setup was simple: a little smoke, a band and some backup singers and plenty of bright colors. He had the stars in the audience dancing, too; Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard could even be singing along, his arm around wife Hayley.
"Look What God Gave Her" is the first single from Rhett's upcoming fourth studio album, Center Point Road. Rhett says it's a song that he never gets tired of.
"It's a song that I've played thousands of times, on my phone and in my car, at the gym, on the bus," Rhett says, "literally in every different setting, and it's a song to me that just really just does not get old ... I think it's kinda hypnotic in the way that it kinda engulfs your brain and really just makes you want to dance and kinda just puts a smile on your face."
Center Point Road also features collaborations with Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini and Jon Pardi. The album is due out on May 31
