Breakups and boyfriends aside, Taylor Swift's plans for this Valentine's Day probably wouldn't be much different with or without a serious boyfriend. The singer-songwriter took a break from her Grammy Awards rehearsal schedule to chat with Ryan Seacrest about her next big endeavor, drop a big hint about the tune she'll open this weekend's award show with, and share her plans for next week's holiday for lovers.

"I'm probably going to be with my friends, or rehearsing," she told "On Air With Ryan Seacrest," referring to the preparation for her upcoming Red tour. "I'll be in a warehouse somewhere, where we've got the stage built, and I'll be working on the lighting rig and the lighting cues. I don't think I'd rather be anywhere else, to be honest."

The superstar has been working on her next trek for the past eight months or so, planning the stage, set list, costumes, dancers and such.

"It's all about presenting a different show than I've ever presented before," she explains. "I'm so stoked and we have, like, 33 days before the tour starts -- not that I'm counting -- I have so much to do, I have to get in on the stage, do the blocking. There's a lot that has already been done, but there's a lot I still have to do."

However, Taylor has built such a strong (and large) support group, that hopefully one of her besties will pull her away from work for one evening. "I'd say that I have like 15 best friends," she admits. "I'd much rather have more friends than put up all these walls around your life and not trust people. I've trusted people more and more as this has gotten -- thankfully -- bigger."

Her friends are such an essential part of her life that the 23-year-old penned her next single, "22," for them. "Finally, I've got this amazing group of girl friends," she gushes. "We tell each other everything. We're together all the time. That was the marker of me being 22, having all these friends. There's a lot of question marks in your life, like where you're going, who you're going to meet, but the one thing you have is you have each other."

Unfortunately, Taylor probably isn't getting much girl time during what she calls a "hectic week" leading up the Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 10). The show will open with the Record of the Year nominee's performance, a fact she herself was shocked to learn.

"What's interesting about these performances is that we presented this performance to the Grammy committee and we said, 'This is what we'd like to do,'" she recalls. "And they said, 'OK, cool, you have a performance slot. Then, a week ago they call us and they're like, 'By the way ... you're opening the show.' It's not like they approach you and say, 'Let's do a big opening performance thing.' It just surprised me that I was going to go first, but I'm really, really excited about it."

With that news, the blond beauty has no plans to change what she had already pitched, but she does give fans one big hint about what song she'll perform. "I think you should perform the song that's nominated, right?" she says. "Like, if you got a song nominated for Record of the Year, you might as well perform that."

That said, you are never, ever going to be able to guess which song she's talking about.
