DVR alert! Sugarland are set to perform on next Thursday's (March 24) 'American Idol.' The duo will take the stage during the results show, which will also feature a special performance by 'Idol' alumn Jennifer Hudson. This season of 'Idol' is now down to 11 contestants, who will all sing classic Motown tunes on Thursday's live broadcast.

This will be Sugarland's first appearance on the popular FOX show, which has invited several country stars to its set in past seasons, including Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride and Keith Urban. Country music's own Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Danny Gokey, Bucky Covington and Josh Gracin, among others, got their big breaks competing on 'Idol.'

Sugarland are in the middle of their Incredible Machine tour, with a stop tonight (March 18) in Bloomington, Ill. They'll jet to Los Angeles next week for 'Idol,' followed by a trip to Las Vegas for the ACM Awards, where they're headlining the inaugural ACM Fan Jam, a live concert taking place before and after the awards show broadcast, with live remotes into the show. Sugarland are up for ACM Video of the Year and Top Vocal Duo. See the full list of nominees here.
