Later this month, Steve Azar will be traveling with a queen ... the Queen of Country, that is, as he has been tapped to open for Reba McEntire on a string of tour dates on the east coast. "I'm looking forward to it," Steve tells The Boot. "I just love Reba, and I'm honored that she asked me to be a part of those dates."

Steve has also acted as a songwriter for Reba. He has credits on a 2008 album she released through Hallmark, 'Love Revival.' "The song she recorded of mine was called 'Big Blue Sky,'" Steve reports. "It was cool!

"I've got to tell you, Reba gets to me," Steve continues. "She's real. Her music has always been honest. I love how long her career has lasted and how long left she's got. She's up there with Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger ... Her music is so authentic. To get to do some shows with her and to know she thought of me enough to have me out and record one of my songs is just so cool."

Steve's currently burning up the country singles chart with his latest single, 'Sunshine,' off his 'Slide on Over Here' album.
