Steel Magnolia's Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones are showing their soft sides to assist U.S. troops serving abroad. The red-hot duo will perform a free acoustic concert for the Florida high school that collects the highest number of gently used mobile phones for the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" campaign. The phones will then be used to raise funds to purchase calling cards for use by military overseas.

This is just one way the duo has reached out to others since they won CMT's 'Can You Duet' competition less than two years ago.

"It seems like a whole different lifetime! But at the same time it feels like it's just flown," Meghan tells the Boot. "I can't even believe it. We've just been so busy and kept our head down and kept going, going, going for a year straight and hadn't really had a chance to stop and look back, so it's cool to come back and kind of relive it and think about it -- wow, we really did that!"

Even if you're not in Florida, you can help the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" campaign. For details, check the website.

Steel Magnolia is on tour behind their self-titled debut album. Their next scheduled concert is April 12 in Toronto, Canada. For more tour dates and information, check here.
