Since her time on Rising Star, Sarah Darling has been hard at work, and she recently revealed her plans for a new album. The powerful vocalist has decided to launch a crowdfunding effort through PledgeMusic to help offset album costs.

On May 12, Darling announced her plans on her Facebook page, explaining that fans can pre-order the album through her PledgeMusic page and "watch it bloom together."

"I’ve been writing so many heartfelt songs, and now I have an album that I know you will adore," Darling writes. "Thank you in advance for all the love and support, and I cannot wait to share this new music with all of you! You are the reason I love doing this."

Along with pre-ordering, fans can have their pick of several exciting incentives if they donate funds to the project. Smaller donations will get fans signed CDs, vinyl LPs and posters; T-shirts; French macarons from Darling's pâtisserie; boots from her line with Durango and more, while $1,000 will buy fans a Girls' Day Out with Darling, including a trip to the day spa and brunch or dinner.

Going even higher, $1,750 buys fans a tour of Nashville with the singer; $2,000 scores fans a two-person acoustic set by Darling in their living room; and fans who donate $5,000 will receive a full-band acoustic house concert. There are lots of other incentives being offered as well, all going toward helping Darling fulfill her dream.

On her PledgeMusic page, Darling is also posting update videos. Recently, she's brought her fans into Nashville's Brown Owl Studio, where she is recording, and shared a peek at the album-making process.

Darling cites her faith as "the rock" that keeps her going, both in her career and otherwise.

“To me, faith is like the rock that kind of binds all of it together,” Darling says. “I think that if I did not have my faith in Christ, I could not do this career or have the patience of perseverance to go along with it. Faith keeps me in the right place and everything in perspective.”

Darling's last EP, Home to Me, was released in January 2013. This summer, Darling will be opening for the Band PerryHunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, Gloriana and others, as well as playing on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
