Rodney Atkins is planning a birthday celebration to benefit a charity close to the county singer's heart.

Atkins and his wife, Rose Falcon, will celebrate his birthday weekend with a live show on Saturday (March 29) at Stageit.com. Proceeds from the event will go to the Holston United Methodist Home for Children in Greenville, Tenn., where Atkins lived as a baby until he was adopted.

In addition to the show, there will be an online auction and a live giveaway. Fans can also submit song requests by contributing to a virtual tip jar after purchasing tickets. All ticket proceeds and donations will go to the home. Tickets are available at Stageit.com.

Atkins has held close ties to the organization as his fame has grown. His wedding to Falcon last fall was officiated by the founder of the home, Charles Hutchins.
