Reba McEntire, a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1986, first visited the hallowed institution as a wide-eyed little girl from Oklahoma, on vacation with her family. At the time, the Opry took place in downtown Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. But, to say the least, Reba's first visit to the Ryman wasn't exactly a pleasant experience for the youngster.

"When I was seven years old, we had come down to Nashville and we were gonna go to the Grand Ole Opry," Reba recalls in a segment for E! News. "All of us got sick. I wound up vomiting on the very front steps of the Grand Ole Opry. A gentleman walked over and handed me his napkin. I wiped my mouth off and handed [the napkin] back to him. He said, 'You keep it!' So, the Ryman Auditorium is very special to me."

The superstar returned to the Ryman as part of the latest issue of People magazine's Country Special, which features several artists photographed while hanging out at some of their favorite Nashville haunts -- which have been fully restored since suffering damage in the Nashville flood of last May.

Also featured are Lady Antebellum, shot at popular nightspot 3rd and Lindsley, the bar where Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley played their first show as Lady A. The trio described how an audience of 20 soon grew to 40, and so on, as word of their unique sound spread throughout Music City.

Taylor Swift was photographed frolicking in the Kids Kingdom Playground in Drakes Creek Park, north of Nashville in Hendersonville. The playful -- and thoughtful -- 20-year-old recently made a $100,000 donation to rebuild the park after it was damaged during the flood.

The latest People Country Special hits newsstands Friday (November 12). Reba's brand-new album, 'All the Women I Am,' hit store shelves this week. Watch our exclusive interview with the Queen of Country below.
