Miranda Lambert looked stunning when accepting the award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance after a stirring rendition of her the winning hit, 'The House That Built Me,' at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards last night (February 13). While the performance was extraordinary, the presenter who led into it wasn't shabby either.

"When I say that I love this next performer, what I mean is I love this next performer," Blake Shelton told the crowd before Miranda's performance. "She's not only one of the most talented people in the world, she happens to be my fiancée."

The sweet words coming from a known jokster elicited the question, did Miranda tell Blake what to say? "Blake doesn't listen to prompters or me or anybody else," she said backstage with a laugh. "He goes with the flow, so they were brave to let him present me."

And her verdict on his delivery? "He did a good job," she confirmed with a smile.

Miranda then accepted her first Grammy from Dierks Bentley and Zac Brown, both of whom she had performed 'Bad Angel' with the night before at Dierks' pre-Grammy bash. "I'm so glad that they chose Zac and Dierks to give the award out that I actually won, because it's so great to get handed something that means the world from friends," she gushed. "Us country people stick together [laughs]."

After all the excitement, how does the soon-to-be Mrs. Shelton plan on spending the holiday for lovers? "I'm going to celebrate Valentine's Day by kissing my Grammy, except I won't get to take it home, because they rip it away from you as soon as you win," she finished with a laugh.

It seems as though Blake will just have to do.
