"Independence Day" is one of Martina McBride's signature songs, an iconic anthem about breaking free from a difficult, potentially life-threatening situation. Written by acclaimed songwriter Gretchen Peters, the lyrics also resonated with listeners after the events of 9/11 and could easily apply to the country's pet population without homes.

Now, as a way to aid Nashville-based organization Agape Animal Rescue, whose mission is finding "forever" homes for abandoned and displaced dogs, Martina and Gretchen have donated a selection of one-of-a-kind, autographed items currently up for bids at eBay. The framed, handwritten lyrics of "Independence Day," signed by both Martina and Gretchen are available in a package that also includes a pair of tickets to see Martina live in concert at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 28. In addition, an autographed copy of Martina's Eleven CD and a copy of Gretchen's Hello, Cruel World CD are part of the unique collection.

Earlier this summer, Jana Kramer, Sherrié Austin and legendary fashion designer Manuel were among the celebrities in attendance at Glitter & Glam, a fashion show, wine tasting and auction event to benefit Agape, which has rescued, rehabilitated and found homes for more than 500 pets in Middle Tennessee since 2004.

"Whenever [an event] involves dogs or people, I'm there," Jana told The Boot at the gala, which also featured several canine participants. "I think I love dogs more than people. [laughs] Kids and dogs are a weak spot in my heart. If a charity has that, then I'm in."

The eBay auction ends Thursday (Sept. 20).
