Jana Kramer, Sherrié Austin and legendary fashion designer Manuel were among the celebrities in attendance on Sunday (July 8) in Nashville, joined by celebs of the four-legged canine variety at Glitter & Glam, a fashion show, wine tasting and auction event to benefit Agape Animal Rescue, which has rescued, rehabilitated and found homes for more than 500 pets in Middle Tennessee since 2004.

The Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel was the setting for the glitzy event, during which more than $10,000 worth of items were auctioned off, including a brand-new Honda Like 50 scooter, bid on and won by Jana herself. Other live-auction items included a Nashville Predators hockey stick autographed by the entire team, a Florida vacation, and a package offering admission to more than 30 of Music City's prime tourist attractions, including the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. All of the proceeds from the event will assist the organization in their efforts to improve the lives of pets, a cause close to Jana's heart.

"Whenever [an event] involves dogs or people, I'm there," Jana tells The Boot. "I think I love dogs more than people. [laughs] Kids and dogs are a weak spot in my heart. If a charity has that, then I'm in. I have a Puggle named Sophie who's here with me, and I'm actually in the process of adopting a yellow Lab right now. I grew up with a chocolate Lab. This lady found a pregnant Lab, so my boyfriend and I are rescuing one of the puppies."

Manuel, Nashville's preeminent costumer who has outfitted everyone from Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley to Johnny Cash and Little Jimmy Dickens, served as official clothing designer for the event. Nicknamed the "Rhinestone Rembrandt," the 74-year-old has a long history of designing jackets and other apparel for his famous clientele, which even included the occasional California canine. But since relocating from L.A. to Nashville in 1989, he's not had that same opportunity ... yet.

"I need to see some dogs with beautiful costumes," Manuel tells The Boot. "Since I only make one outfit, one-of-a-kind for people, I would do the same for dogs. I've had a few calls but I haven't had the chance to do it in Nashville yet. But I will, as soon as they decide they want it."

Next up for Jana is her first late-night TV appearance on the "Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and she continues on the Brad Paisley Virtual Reality tour as well as doing some upcoming concert dates with Alan Jackson.
